Terroir and wine-making

Under the sun of Sicily that warms the vineyards of Pantelleria are born the Zibibbo grapes of Marco de Bartoli that turn into a charming sweet wine: the Bukkuram Sole d'Agosto is the result of a long process studied in every phase to maximize the extraordinary potential of the Sicilian grape. The vines grown on Pantesco tree, an agricultural practice protected by UNESCO, have been rooted in the ground for over 40 years. Every year, between the second week of August and the first week of September, the winemakers of the Sicilian winery carefully collect a part of the grapes that will wither in the following three weeks exposed to the sun among lava stone walls; the remaining half wilts in plant. The dried grapes are then added to the wine in several moments where it macerates for about 3 months. Finally, a first ageing of at least 30 months in French oak barrels not new and a second one in steel tanks fixes its rich and complex aromas in a sweet harmony.

Notes of taste

Structure, acidity and roundness are part of an extraordinary balance of aromas that unfolds on the palate, involving the taste with richness and persistence.
