Terroir and wine-making

Marsala Superiore Oro Riserva 10 anni is obtained from a hand-cured selection of Grillo grapes that are born in the vineyards of the Samperi Marsala district, where tree-bred vines and Guyot trellis thrive. The vinification aims to obtain a wine as tradition requires, it involves soft pressing, natural sedimentation and classical fermentation with indigenous yeasts in oak and chestnut barrels at room temperature. Marco De Bartoli fortifies his Marsala Superiore Riserva with a mixture made from fresh must and brandy obtained from the same grapes used to make the base wine. The aging of more than 10 years in oak barrels of different sizes completes the organoleptic profile of this sweet wine highly expressive.
