Terroir and wine-making
Camelot IGT is made from the vinification of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes grown in the fascinating Baglio Sorìa estate, at 120 meters above sea level. Near the coast of Trapani, the terroir is characterized by the presence of several clays and marls red, typically known for the qualities that give the grapes.
Camelot, in fact, is an evolution of the wine from Bordeaux that benefits from a natural characteristic of elegance and roundness, due to the terroir in which the grapes grow. The latter benefit from a gradual maturation that allows their full aromatic development. The wine is aged for at least 9 months in French oak barrels. Camelot, like other Firriato wines, becomes the interpreter and witness of a rich terroir and a quality production of value.
Notes of taste
Camelot Firriato is a ruby red colour. The bouquet of complex and full-bodied fragrances lets you perceive fragrant notes of raspberry, blueberry and wild strawberry, to which are added fine hints of cinnamon, cherries and eucalyptus. Finally, slight hints of herbaceous notes are combined with hints of cocoa and mint. It gently settles on the palate to immediately release its juicy opulence, fresh taste and fine tannins.
Wine at the table
Wine of thickness, the Camelot Firriato prefers combinations with first and second courses tasty and mediterranean. Also great with aged cheeses.
