Terroir and wine-making

Feudo di Santa Tresa produces its Frappato with the best grapes of the vine, grown in Vittoria, in the south-east of Sicily, in a corner of the island that has always been particularly devoted to the production of excellent wines. The wise organic cultivation implemented by the winery enhances its characteristics. Modern methods of processing are used to offer a new interpretation of the grape variety, whose qualities are exported all over the world.

Notes of taste

With its ruby red colour and fresh, lively scent, Frappato Santa Tresa is reminiscent of wild strawberries and delicate sweet spices. On the palate it is pleasantly acidic and releases spicy and fruity notes.

Wine at the table

Frappato is the best red wine to pair with fish, but also loves grilled white meat dishes and fresh cheeses. Il Feudo di Santa Tresa recommends the original pairing with tuna and pistachio.

Curiosity

Frappato’s cultivation in the vineyards owned by Santa Tresa dates back to the 18th century and today, together with other vineyards, cover a total of about 50 hectares.
