Terroir and wine-making

The Pinzeri of the Funaro winery is an organic white wine, the result of the harvest of Grillo grape, a variety that grows in the Sicilian PGI lands, precisely in the territory of Salemi. Following the harvest and selection of grapes between August and September, the vinification process is carried out by means of a pneumatic nitrogen-saturated press, which allows the berries to be crushed and then vinified in steel vats at a temperature of 15°C. The wine is fermented on yeast, The white wine Pinzeri Funaro assumes an immediate and greater acquisition of taste and aroma.

Notes of taste

Pinzeri white immediately appears an elegant and full wine, thanks to its straw yellow color with greenish reflections and its strongly floral and fruity flavor: notes of peach and yellow melon make the tasting of Pinzeri from Funaro cellars multisensory.

Wine at the table

Pinzeri Funaro is a perfect white to match both first and second courses, strictly based on fish, such as sea bass and bream: delicious fish in crazy water or Trapani bass in crust that strongly know the flavors of the Sicilian IGP.

Curiosity

The Grillo grape, located in the care of the Funaro estates, gives its wines an excellent alcohol content, so that they can be enjoyed both young and aged. The result is a Grillo wine that embraces numerous floral and fruity notes presenting an immediately soft and simultaneously structured taste, like that of Pinzeri Funaro.
