Terroir and wine-making

The Grillo and Viognier grapes are balanced in a wine, the Rina Ianca, with new and interesting characteristics: the first is an autochthonous vine that finds its ideal terroir in the territory of Vittoria; the second is native to the Rhône Valley and its cultivation in this corner of Sicily has proved an experiment with extraordinary results. The grapes are vinified separately and aged in oak barrels without malolactic fermentation, to avoid altering their qualities, made even more evident by further ageing in bottle.

Notes of taste

In the glass, Rina Ianca shows its straw yellow color and releases hints of fruit and sweet spicy notes. On the palate, it impresses with its freshness and savoury taste.

Wine at the table

Excellent as an aperitif, the Rina Ianca of Feudo di Santa Tresa also enhances appetizers and first courses of fish.

Curiosity

In the Sicilian dialect 'Rina Ianca', the name by which the Feudo di Santa Tresa has called its wine, means 'white sand'.
