Terroir and wine making
SP68 Rosso di Arianna Occhipinti is the result of two of the most important grapes of Sicily, Frappato and Nero d'Avola, grown in the Sicilian lands of Vittoria, where wine production is an undisputed excellence. The vineyards are located at 280 meters above sea level and benefit from the particular characteristics of the soil and the wind that comes from the Iblei mountains. The cultivation techniques are carried out manually in total respect of nature and its balance. Plants grow organically, without the use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers. In the vineyard are used green manure such as favino or grass. The grapes are carefully selected to choose only the best bunches, the fermentation is spontaneous and only indigenous yeasts are used.
Taste notes
SP68 Red has a dark ruby color and releases intriguing Mediterranean notes of red fruits, thyme and dark spices. On the palate it immediately reveals its freshness that contributes to make it addictive and very pleasant to drink. A perfectly balanced wine that in the finish still recalls the fruits of the earth.
