Terroir and wine-making

From selected Perricone grapes that grow in the terroir of the agro Palermitano di Monreale is born the Granmassenti del Feudo Disisa, a wine resulting from a vinification process that starts with a maceration of fifteen days and continues with a malolactic fermentation in steel at controlled temperature. The ageing of ten months in barrique and two months in bottle is what gives the wine its particular organoleptic characteristics.

Notes of taste

In an intense ruby red with violet reflections, the Granmassenti Perricone wine releases inviting notes of cherry and raspberry; on the palate it shows its qualities of fullness and persistence, for a pleasantly harmonious taste.

Wine at the table

At the table, the Perricone Granmassenti is versatile and can be combined with various dishes: excellent with tasty first courses such as tagliatelle with meat sauce and with meat dishes such as roasts. Even medium and long-aged cheeses enjoy his company.

Curiosity

The Perricone grapes used in the production of Granmassenti wine grow in vineyards owned by Feudo Disisa where for several years has been abolished the use of chemical fertilizers and synthetic herbicides; Non-invasive natural techniques such as the application of mulch between rows, more respectful of the original qualities of the grape and the environment, have taken their place.
