Terroir and wine-making
This Syrah is born in the province of Trapani, in Marsala to be exact, where the winery Fondo Antico enhances the territory through a healthy process of cultivation of the vine, with reduced regime of pesticides. The grapes obtained are free from harmful residues that preserve the characteristics of an ancient international vine, the homonymous Syrah, which has become the identity of Sicily more than any other area. The natural approach of the company is not limited to the breeding of vines, with a spalliera trimmed with a spigot, but continues in the cellar, during the winemaking phase: with the aromas and flavors most representative of the territory, The Syrah Fondo Antico reflects all the care and attention of a farm devoted to its land.

Notes of taste
The Syrah Fondo Antico suggests depth to the nose and roundness to the mouth: red fruits and notes of pepper explode in the mouth and nose. It is a wine with a balanced character, not rough, able to give a pleasant taste experience.

Wine at the table
The Syrah Fondo Antico has great affinity with game, white meat and flavors of forest such as mushrooms. Also great to accompany carpaccio and red meat.

Curiosity
Syrah is the only international grape variety that the company Fondo Antico has chosen to make wine and thus produce a label for loyal customers and for the most curious.
