The masters of the fifth generation of Brugal roneros select the casks that make up this excellent distillate, the result of a double aging: the first 8 years the Brugal rum refines in American oak barrels that previously contained bourbon, the next 4-6 years in Spanish red oak barrels containing oloroso sherry.

Ron Brugal Gran Reserva 1888 takes on a dark amber colour and an intense aroma of dried fruit and woody notes. On the palate it is sweet, a little buttery and sugary. The finish of Brugal rum is savory and caramelized.
