Terroir and wine-making

The Franciacorta Brut DOCG Milledì is a renowned sparkling wine made 100% from Chardonnay grapes, harvested in mid-August, at 250 meters above sea level. An expression of savoury and brio in a cuvée made from grapes from 12 different vineyards, located in 8 municipalities of Franciacorta. The harvest is made from Guyot plants with a plant of 5000 strains/hectare. The Chardonnay grapes are pressed by means of a mechanical press with a very gentle pressure. In the winemaking process, the flower must, which has the best quality characteristics and is used to make Franciacorta, is separated from the second-pressing must, which is discarded for bottling. The fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks, while the wine rests in the tank until the first flowering of the plants.

Notes of taste

The glass of Bollicina Ferghettina Milledì offers a straw yellow color with green gold carvings. The persistent and fine perlage is the background to an elegant mouth, rich in citrus and mineral notes.

Wine at the table

The best pairing for the Franciacorta Ferghettina Milledì is with appetizers and first dishes of sea, cheeses of medium ripening and mixed fried fish.

Curiosity

The list of awards for Franciacorta Lombardo is long, many have appreciated and recognized the quality of the Ferghettina bubbly. Some of the awards are high scores in competitions: Bibenda, AIS, Wine Enthusiast and Veronelli.
