Terroir and wine-making

The Laudàri Baglio del Cristo by Campobello is a pure Chardonnay. The vines grow on predominantly calcareous soil at an altitude of 260 metres above sea level. Once ripe, the grapes are harvested and selected by hand and placed in small boxes. After destemming, they are brought to a temperature of 8-10°C and macerated. The soft pressing is followed by the separation of the must, which is decanted by cold settling. Once the fermentation is finished, it is aged on fine lees for about 4 months at a controlled temperature and for another 12 months in bottle. After that the Laudàri is ready to be enjoyed.

Notes of taste

The Chardonnay Laudàri wine is incredibly fresh and fragrant. The nose is distinguished by notes of citrus and flowers accompanied by hints of dark and mango and yellow plum with a vanilla base. The palate is soft and full with a good taste. A wine that gives off a harmony of flavors and a pleasant persistence. It ages by retaining all its qualities for at least 3-5 years.

Wine at the table

At the table, Laudàri Baglio del Cristo by Campobello is great to taste together with fish and shellfish dishes. It should be served at a temperature of 9-11°C.
